Google Pixel: End of the Nexus Era??

Word has it that the Axe to Googles Nexus line of devices will be dropped on Oct 4. Instead, we will be met with the new Pixel line of phones. The Google Pixel & Pixel XL respectively.

The 2 suggested handsets will come in at 5” with a Full HD panel and 5.5” QHD panel. Specs of the reported devices are said to be a Snapdragon 820 or 821 chipset, 4gb of Ram, 32gb base storage, 12mp rear facing cam, 8mp front facing cam, fingerprint sensor, and USB type C.

The Nexus devices were popular amongst developers, android enthusiasts, and people looking for a great device with a very affordable budget. It seems as though with Google targeting the high end device spectrum, the affordability of the nexus devices may have just gone out the window.

Early reports have the base model Pixel going for $649us. With only a few days away, we will not have to wait too long to get confirmation on everything. Stay tuned.
