5) Samsung S7/S7 Edge – Arguably one of the best-designed phones on the market, Samsung continued the moment from the S6 and corrected all the major issues of the past phone. The two devices have shrunk down on the camera hump, added a sd slot, improved on battery life and also offer what is probably the best version of TouchWiz to date. While they both have Quad HD displays, they have two different sizes. The S7 is 5.1” and the S7 edge is 5.5”. 3) ZTE Axon 7 – This is probably the dark horse on the market currently. It has all the parts to compete with the best phones on the market with one major exception, it costs half the price of almost all of them. ZTE has managed to pack a device with a Quad HD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, multiple storage options plus an SD slot, some front facing stereo speakers to make you forget about HTC’s Boomsound, great battery life, and a very good camera. It has got a fast fingerprint ready, USB type C, and Dolby Atmos Audio Enhancement to power those high-end headphones.  All this for $2500tt.

Specs:

2) Google Pixel/Pixel XL – Gone is the Nexus and in come the Pixels. The high-end replacement for what was once known as the budget friendly pure Android device, the Nexus. If you can remember, while we may have gotten the best software on the Nexus devices, we had to have compromises in the hardware to reach affordability. Well, Google has done away with that strategy, now we are simply getting the best phone designed by Google.

It is the first phone to come with Google Assistant, some new exclusive features and currently has the title of best camera on the market. Both devices have the same specs except for the screen. The Pixel has a 5” 1080p display, where the XL has a 5.5” Quad HD display. They both come with Snapdragons latest 821 processor and have a certification of IP53 to handle dust and a bit of water. The Pixel starts at about $4500tt.

 1)  Oneplus 3t – What a journey it has been for Carl Pei and OnePlus. There was an early offering in 2016, the Oneplus 3 but they decided to take in some customer feedback and release an upgrade later in the year. The Oneplus 3 went from a good phone that would maybe have taken spot #10 or an honorable mention, but with the additions made and barely an increase in price, it makes it very hard to spend over $4500ttd for a device.

The Oneplus 3T is powered by the Snapdragon 821, a whopping 6gb of RAM, with a bigger battery than the original Oneplus 3, you can see why there is a lot of fuss for this device. Oxygen O/S is present and running on top of Android Nougat. The Oneplus 3T also holds the title for the fastest charging device with its new Dash charge feature. For us, the specs you are getting, for $40 more than the original device, this phone sits at #1 in our top 10 phones on the market right now. The phone can be bought for $3000ttd.

Specs:

  • 5” 1080p AMOLED display
  • Snapdragon 821 processor
  • 64/128gb of storage
  • 6Gb of RAM
  • 16mp rear and front camera
  • Dash Charge
  • 3400mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat
