ZTE is on a roll and that is putting it lightly. Following the success of the ZTE Axon 7, they have come up with their most powerful device yet, the Nubia Z17. The device has almost every available top spec to date and doing it at a fraction of the price of most high-end flagships.
Ready for the goodies? Here we go. The ZTE Nubia Z17 comes with:
- 5.5” 1080p Display
- 2.35ghz Snapdragon 835
- 64gb storage w/ 6gb RAM or 128gb storage w/8gb RAM
- Gorilla Glass 5
- Dual rear cameras (23mp & 16mp), 16mp front facing camera
- Nougat 7.1.1
- 3200mAh battery
- The new Quickcharge 4+
- Dolby Atmos sound
- IR blaster and fingerprint reader
This is going to be the first phone with 8gb of ram and the first phone to get Qualcomm’s Quickcharge 4+ which will be able to charge devices up to 50% in 25min. By the way, it’s also water resistant (we still wait to find out the rating), and will also have USB Type-C.
We did not even get to the best part. When you look at all of this you are probably thinking, wow, this should cost roughly about the price of an S8 or more. Wrong. The 64gb/6gb RAM version will cost $410usd/$2800ttd and the 128gb/8gb RAM version will come in at $580usd/$3900ttd.
If the support that ZTE has given to the Axon 7 spills over to this device, you will be hard-pressed to find a better device at this price point. The Axon 7 launched with Marshmallow 6.0.1 and had a speedy upgrade time to Nougat 7.1.1. It will come in 5 colours which consist of blue, black, gold, red, and black & gold.
Every update has refined the user experience and brought new functionality to the Axon 7.
